Keep Pushing Forward

Keep pushing forward until something happens. Recently I was involved in the launch of a new affiliate marketing program. The launch was excellent for me: 21 sales in 24 hours. It has been 60 days into the launch and there have been growing pains. The company has grown too fast for the current staff to handle support. Changes were made and a partner has dropped out.

There was a live event and someone pulled out and almost crushed this company. But the owners pushed forward and in two days put the event together and it was successful… Despite lightning striking the house, servers going, down, and electricity going out in parts of the mansion.

keep pushing forward

As of today that affiliate marketing company is thriving. This is not a story about that company. It is a story about pushing forward. Bad things are going to happen to you when you are in business. It is up to you to turn those things around.

Entrepreneurs keep pushing forward no matter what. They stay focused on the result and clear on the outcome. They know their target. You are an entrepreneur. Just because you work from home doesn’t mean you are not a business. You must keep moving ahead to reach your goals.

You Must Produce

Unlike your job where you are guaranteed a paycheck for just showing up. You must produce in your business. Unless you make sales you will be broke. You will lose clients, people will ask for refunds, and not everyone will like your products or services. Keep moving forward because sales are the lifeblood of all businesses.

The owners of that company kept moving forward when clients tried to fraud their system. When software and third-party applications went down they kept pushing until something happened. Despite the setbacks, they were still doing training and support calls.

Determine Your Destination

I said you can only control the starting point. But you need to know where you are going. Detours can cross your path. Your job is to keep going. Know how much you want to make per month, and how many sales you need, and keep a tight rein on your budget.

Commit

Make commitments not excuses. Commit to not giving up. Commitment is the only fuel that will get your vehicle to move. Know why you are in business. Know why you choose to be an entrepreneur and this will get you through the rough spots.

Daily Method of Operation

Like a football team that sticks with the running game… You need to stick with your daily method of operation. Everything runs on a system. Planes, trains, public transportation, and schools all run on a schedule. They have a daily method of operation. A system will keep your business running. You want to get to the point where your business can succeed without you.

Personal Success Team

Get around a group of professionals that will help you succeed. I have had my best ideas come from events, seminars, and hangouts and it was in those moments that friendships were forged. This is where you get the insider tips and advice that will help you move forward. Tip: Attend some events.

keep pushing forward

Stuff Happens

Be prepared because it will be thrown in your face. Entrepreneurs know that business can be a roller coaster ride. There will be ups, downs, twists, turns, slow climbs to the top, and a big drop when things go wrong.

Take a look a your past year. There have been crises that have popped up in your life. Storms that you have made it through. Your business will go through the same struggles.

In order for you to keep moving forward, understand that you can only control the starting line. Just like taking a trip. You know the directions. You know your ending point. All you have control over is the starting point. You can’t control the plane, delays, people, or natural forces.

The journey to your destination is out of your control. The path you travel will have roadblocks, setbacks, disappointments, and failures. There is never a smooth path to success. You are in control of how you respond to these situations.
